Job Summary
Partner with firm leadership to structure owner–architect agreements and lead day-to-day project delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets are met. Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams while overseeing construction document development and resolving technical issues. Prepare work plans, track cost and work-hour budgets, and lead coordination with consultants, contractors, and client representatives through bid reviews and award recommendations. Maintain clear project documentation, support business development efforts including proposal development and client presentations, and mentor junior staff. Join a San Francisco-based design firm pioneering innovative solutions for science and technology environments across higher education, corporate, government, and healthcare sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive project management experience in architecture or related fields
- Proven ability to manage large, complex projects as well as multiple smaller efforts simultaneously
- Strong proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to leverage the strengths of multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Professional registration (architectural license)
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects
- Confidence in client engagement and long-term relationship development
- Experience with science/technology, research, or complex commercial projects
- Familiarity with Revit, SketchUp, and other commonly used design and documentation software
- Experience with Design/Build delivery and/or LEED-oriented projects
