Job Summary
Manage all phases of projects, including schedule and financial performance, while leading cross-functional teams to minimize risk and serve as the primary liaison with customers. Make daily decisions on cost versus risk, negotiate contract change orders and back charge settlements, and balance overall project budgets by communicating monthly financial status to executive management. Handle technical and commercial customer activities, develop team managers, and support sales with proposal efforts and contract reviews. Establish initial project schedules, manage document transmittals, and evaluate subcontract proposals to ensure timely submittals and equipment deliveries.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year college degree
- Engineering degree
- MBA
- relevant management experience
- 8-10+ years of experience
- prior Project Manager experience
- Travel 10-15% of the time by plane or car
- Available for response to customer/jobsite issues at all times
- Detailed knowledge of HRSG design
- Detailed knowledge of HRSG fabrication
- Detailed knowledge of HRSG erection
- Detailed knowledge of internal processes
- Detailed knowledge of workflows
- Full understanding of project scheduling tools
- Full understanding of management techniques
- Understanding of contract legalese
- Understanding of contract management methods
- Understanding of contract flow down requirements
- Demonstrated skills in building customer relations
- Demonstrated skills in building supplier relations
- Demonstrated skills in managing contracts
