Job Summary

Manage all aspects of commercial landscape construction projects from startup through completion, closeout, and warranty. Coordinate labor, equipment, subcontractors, and material procurement while overseeing project execution, labor hours, and costs within budget. Review blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications to ensure quality and compliance, then develop schedules and submit estimates, bids, proposals, and change orders. Conduct site visits and meetings to monitor progress, quality, and safety, while building relationships with clients and subcontractors to resolve issues and ensure expectations are met.

Required Qualifications

  • Safety first mindset with a commitment to adhering to safety regulations and promoting safe work practices
  • A solid understanding of construction site operations and best practices
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams through effective communication, collaboration, active listening, and delegation of responsibilities
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply blueprints, construction drawings, and technical specifications with strong understanding of how multiple scopes and trades integrate within the construction process
  • Comfortable negotiating pricing, terms and schedule with customers and vendors
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to confidently evaluate situations, communicate perspectives, and make sound, decisive decisions in a timely manner
  • Highly organized and adaptable, with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize, provide direction, and navigate changing project demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with coworkers, vendors, and customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or related field preferred; however, relevant industry experience and proven leadership ability may be substituted for formal education; Project Management Professional certification is a plus
