Job Summary
Manage project phases, activities, and tasks within time, cost, and quality constraints to deliver outcomes and achieve client satisfaction. Lead project teams and resources, schedule kick-off meetings, and obtain client approval for scope, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions. Develop operational year plans, manage project schedules and budgets, and define quality targets, standards, and assurance procedures. Establish communication plans, manage risks and mitigation strategies, and compile Health, Safety and Environmental plans. Execute project phases including design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly, delivery, installation, and commissioning. Monitor expenditure, approve change requests, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with configuration management systems. Report directly to the Project Engineering Manager.
Required Qualifications
- B. Tech / B. Sc / B. Eng degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering
- 10 -12 years of relevant project management experience
- Project Management qualification
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA
- Knowledge base and experience within the Mining, Oil and Gas, Mineral Processing or Heavy Engineering sectors
- Proven verbal and written communication skills
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to perform under pressure
- High attention to detail
- Managerial leadership ability
- Cross-functional leadership
- Willingness to work demanding schedule and flexible hours, including after hours, in order to meet required schedule
- Willingness to travel
- Operate as part of a team
- Disciplined – work with limited supervision
- Self-motivated, organized and results driven
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, MS Project.)
- Own transportation
