Job Summary
Review project scope, drawings, specifications, budgets, and contract requirements during handoff. Interpret customer commitments, scope changes, and risks for internal teams. Coordinate materials, purchase orders, and supplier delivery timing to support field schedules. Manage RFIs, design clarifications, and site instructions to remove project constraints. Track changes, assign follow-up actions, and resolve issues affecting schedule, productivity, or billing. Identify, price, and negotiate change orders while organizing field documentation and preparing cost-to-complete updates. Submit progress applications, coordinate with finance on invoicing, and approve invoices. Maintain communication with clients, general contractors, suppliers, and leadership. Support project closeout, deficiency tracking, and post-project lessons learned.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, project coordination, or a related construction role
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, change orders, and project documentation
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, forecasting, cost codes, billing, change orders, and financial performance
- Strong coordination and relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively with Site Supervisors, clients, General Contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to identify project risks, remove roadblocks, and proactively resolve issues to support successful project execution
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software
- Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Experience managing commercial steel stud framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, insulation, and related interior systems
Desired Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation considered an asset
