Job Summary
Manage roadway design projects from initiation through completion, leading internal teams and coordinating with subconsultants, clients, and reviewing agencies. Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans while monitoring financials, invoicing, and profitability. Oversee preparation of plans, reports, and technical documents in compliance with DOT and client standards, ensuring QA/QC procedures are followed. Serve as the primary client contact, maintain long-term relationships, and mentor Deputy Project Managers, engineers, and technical staff. Participate in business development and proposal preparation activities. Requires a PE license, 8+ years of roadway design experience, and proficiency in Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint. Full-time role in Merrillville, IN.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of employment (or ability to obtain reciprocity)
- 8+ years of roadway or transportation design experience
- Proven experience managing DOT or municipal roadway projects
- Strong understanding of AASHTO and DOT design standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint
- Ability to lift up to 10–15 pounds
- Regular, reliable attendance and punctuality
