Job Summary
Guide new development and major rehabilitation projects from initial due diligence through construction close-out and bond exoneration. Coordinate all phases including due diligence, entitlements, permitting, and construction oversight to ensure projects complete on time, within budget, and in compliance with approvals. Monitor financial performance, review construction billings, and negotiate change orders while managing technical disciplines such as architects and engineers. Assist in preparing funding applications and make presentations to public bodies to secure community support. Travel nationwide for site inspections, stakeholder meetings, and coordination with local authorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Development, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within real estate development, acquisitions, due diligence, affordable housing, or construction
- Proven experience managing phases of development projects, from acquisition to construction closeout
- Travel to RHF properties nationwide, including overnight stays
- Must be able to perform site visits, walk construction sites, and inspect project progress
- Ability to lift and carry light loads of up to 50 pounds when needed
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of affordable housing development, including HUD, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credits), and other federal/state financing programs
