Job Summary
Manage various projects across the United States supporting local branches, including bypass pumping systems, filtration, and high-pressure pumping applications. Interact with clients on and off job locations to promote underground utilities and trenchless technologies, and participate in trade shows as required. Work with local, regional, and corporate sales and engineering departments to complete assigned projects on time and within quotation cost estimates. Perform job walks to identify hazards, traffic obstacles, and potential property damage, while identifying opportunities for optional rental equipment. Assist in quotation preparation by providing labor estimates, timelines, and equipment lists, and develop definable scopes of work. Track job costs, maintain daily progress logs, and obtain signed change orders for extra work. Review quotations with local branches, determine asset sufficiency, develop spill containment plans, and complete job-specific safety hazard analyses. Hold daily progress and safety meetings with crews and contractors, establish emergency contact lists, and assist in preparing invoices.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with by-pass pumping systems
- Experience with filtration projects
- Experience with high pressure pumping applications
- Experience with complex general service pumping applications
- Experience with installations of other products deemed sensitive in nature
- Ability to work and interact with local branches
- Ability to interact with regional, national and corporate sales and engineering departments
- Ability to interact with clients on and off job locations
- Ability to promote and enhance Rain for Rent's position in the underground utilities, trenchless technologies and general service markets
- Ability to participate in both local and national trade shows
- Ability to complete assigned projects on time
- Ability to complete projects at or below quotation cost estimate
- Knowledge of all products and services that Rain for Rent provides
- Ability to perform job walks
- Ability to identify potential hazards such as structures that will impede installation
- Ability to identify traffic obstacles both vehicular and pedestrian in nature
- Ability to assess the effect of installation on the proposed installation routes
- Ability to assess potential areas of damage to property or landscaping
- Ability to assess potential spill damage of both the product and fuel to waterways, and surrounding area
- Ability to identify additional opportunities for optional or add on rental equipment such as road ramps, flow meters, telemetry units, spill-guards and other products
- Ability to provide labor estimates and timeline for installation
- Ability to provide labor estimates and timeline for removal
- Ability to provide labor estimate for loading and unloading of equipment at location
- Ability to provide equipment list for resources needed – manpower, forklifts, light towers, fuel storage, special needs like cranes, etc.
- Ability to assist in developing a definable scope of work for the quotation
- Ability to keep accurate records of all labor both internal and external used on the project
- Ability to keep accurate records of all equipment used both internal and external on the project
- Ability to keep accurate records of all supplies and consumable items used on the project
- Ability to keep daily progress logs noting items or conditions that hampered achieving that day's objective
- Ability to inform branch and others as needed at the end of each day as to project progress
- Ability to obtain signed change orders for all extra work that is not part of the defined scope of work or quotation
- Ability to review quotation and scope of work with local branch and others as required
- Ability to determine available assets at that local branch and determine if they are sufficient to perform the project
- Ability to develop a spill containment plan and have the material required on the job location and available to all workers
- Ability to complete a job specific Job Safety Hazard Analysis (JSHA) for the project and review with all employees including contract workers
- Ability to hold daily progress and safety meetings with the assigned crew including contractors or temporary employees
- Ability to keep accurate records of subjects discussed and daily sign-in sheets
- Ability to establish emergency contact lists for the specific job
- Ability to assist in preparing invoice to customer if needed
- Willingness to work as needed on various projects throughout the United States
- Willingness to travel to local Rain for Rent branches
