Job Summary
Lead the design and analysis of complex electrical systems for renewable generation, energy storage, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Review design documents, prepare project specifications, and develop electrical construction cost estimates while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across Kimley-Horn offices. Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, and grow the Renewable Energy practice through mentorship and business development. Operate with integrity, establish goals, and maintain positive client relationships to drive service area growth. Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant experience managing renewable energy or related projects
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Familiar with the relevant standards, regulations, and best practices for wind energy projects
- Extensive client contacts and relationships with local architects, developers, land use attorneys, planners and/or land owners
- Strong technical skills in AutoCAD Civil3D, Excel, and/or GIS
- Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work
- Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage land development projects profitably
