Job Summary
The Project Manager, R&D & Innovation coordinates and accelerates cross-functional development from concept to commercialization for Saje’s wellness and beauty product ecosystem. Key responsibilities include establishing and implementing front-end project management processes, translating concepts into actionable plans with timelines and deliverables, tracking progress and risks, maintaining documentation, and ensuring seamless handoff to commercialization. The role collaborates with R&D, Innovation, Regulatory, Operations, and Commercialization to align scope and milestones, facilitates regular cross-functional meetings, supports administrative tasks (sample management, SOP development, supplier coordination), and contributes to the preparation of projects for commercialization while ensuring readiness, documentation, and approvals are complete.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of project management experience preferably within the Wellness, Beauty or CPG industries
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects from concept through early-stage development
- Proven track record of implementing best-in-class project management processes
- Experience working in highly cross-functional teams with ability to build alignment across stakeholders (e.g., R&D, Innovation, Operations, Regulatory, Commercialization)
- Strong project planning and execution skills including defining scope, developing timelines, tracking milestones, and managing risks
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and clear documentation, project tracking, and reporting
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to lead meetings and drive decision-making
- Proactive problem solver with ability to identify risks, remove barriers, and keep projects moving forward
- Experience leading a team is considered an asset
