Job Summary
Oversee the greenfield setup of a new central processing kitchen, securing municipal licenses, designing facility layouts, and sourcing advanced meat-cutting equipment. Transition into hands-on plant management directing daily butchery production, enforcing strict portion-control standards, and managing logistics for B2B restaurant clients. Recruit and train a skilled production crew while maintaining absolute compliance with HACCP, GMP, and Halal guidelines. This role requires a "Builder" mindset to drive the facility from scratch to full operational status within a high-growth agricultural venture in Malaysia.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on operational experience within a meat-processing plant, commercial butchery operation, high-output central kitchen, or food manufacturing facility
- Deep, practical knowledge of commercial butchery, protein portion-control systems, cold storage engineering, vacuum-packaging technology, and high-yield cutting equipment
- Solid understanding of food safety management structures, local municipal health regulations, HACCP principles, and local Halal compliance requirements
- Proven track record or strong capacity for setting up a food facility or production line from scratch (including layout design and machinery sourcing)
- A leader who thrives on the processing floor, willing to roll up their sleeves, work alongside the team, and physically validate quality standards (not a desktop-only role)
- Extremely resilient, resourceful, and capable of operating successfully in a fast-paced, high-autonomy startup environment
