Job Summary
Lead estimation for new and upcoming projects, develop execution strategies for complex powerline construction, and implement project plans with safety and quality control. Coordinate resources, manage subcontractor selection and procurement, and oversee quantity takeoffs and bid packages. Take ownership of pursuit estimates, review costs, and develop construction schedules to meet milestones. Facilitate project meetings, monitor progress, and manage risks to achieve financial targets. Work with the project team to forecast billings and track financial aspects. This office-based position in Ontario requires 10-15 years of powerline construction experience and offers a base pay of $102,000.00 - $140,250.00.
Required Qualifications
- 10-15 years of related work experience in managing powerline construction or similar utility / industrial construction projects
- 3+ years cumulative experience estimating powerline construction projects
- Previous experience as a Project Manager or in a similar direct managerial / supervisory role
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, current construction practices and methodology
- Strong negotiation skills, management skills and the ability to effectively organize/plan while having multiple priorities
- Strong understanding of construction costs, budget and the ability to plan/manage a project schedule
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, anticipate stakeholder needs, and proactively identify solutions
- A track record of building successful teams and promoting teamwork through motivating, coaching, and consensus-building
- Sites throughout Ontario (various possible shifts including 5/2, 10/4, or 14/7)
