Job Summary
Grid Transformation Project Management position responsible for managing system improvement projects including potential solar, battery storage, R&D, DOE portfolio and audit support, with oversight spanning multiple states. Oversees PM processes for scope, schedule, budgets, forecasts, and outage work plans; collaborates with Interconnections, Policy & Services, Planning, R&D, New Ventures, and Resource Planning to support resilient and reliable grid systems; travel up to 25 percent and in-person project sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical degree
- 5+ Years of combined experience in Project Management, Planning, Protection & Control Field Services, Design, Construction, Operations, Resource Planning, Policy & Services, or maintenance of the transmission system required
- Familiarity with project management principles and techniques including the Gated Process or Oracle Unifier is a plus
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the transmission system, engineering principles, electric operating practices, construction practices, land requirements and regulations, budgeting, scheduling, and general business practices
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate progress, identify problem areas, evaluate alternatives, and determine viable solutions
- Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize large volumes of work
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to think under pressure
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI, MS Access, and Excel Pivot Tables
- Leadership Experience Requirements - Demonstrated focus on Safety; Demonstrated experience leading team efforts, identifying critical paths, and resolving conflict; Demonstrated leadership on projects involving multiple work groups and departments
- Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities - Familiarity with System Planning, Interconnection and Transmission Service Policies; Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders; Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain relationships at all levels, including executives, management, supervision, covered employees, contract employees, business leaders, and all customers; Excellent analytical skills and ability to conduct financial analysis, develop and manage capital budgets and provide accurate budget projections, reports, and audit responses as required; Innovative problem-solving skills; Knowledge of Primavera (P6), TEAMS, STOMP, Oracle Projects/Financials, MS Office Suite, TransMap, TSMART, and other Transmission operational and maintenance tools
