Job Summary
Lead cross-functional technical, compliance, and strategic projects from initiation through closeout, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria. Develop and maintain detailed schedules, work breakdowns, and action logs while coordinating activities across Engineering, Product Management, Compliance, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and Finance. Facilitate kickoffs, reviews, and status meetings to track progress against launch commitments, identify risks, manage dependencies, and control changes impacting scope, schedule, cost, and quality. Ensure adherence to stage-gate, quality system, and certification requirements while partnering with functional managers to secure resources and resolve conflicts. Communicate status, financials, and resource needs to stakeholders and leadership, supporting supplier and customer interactions as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, project management, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing cross-functional technical, product development, manufacturing, or capital projects
- Demonstrated experience managing project schedules, budgets, risks, action items, and stakeholder communications
- Willingness to work within manufacturing and laboratory environments
- Experience in fire suppression or other regulated product manufacturing industry
- Experience with stage-gate product development, engineering change control, ERP systems, certification projects, and product launches
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to meet scope, schedule, and quality commitments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, risk-management, and decision-making skills
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and competing business needs
- Proficiency with project management tools
- Technical aptitude involving engineering, product development and manufacturing
- This is a full-time position, on-site at our St. Louis, MO location
- The expected schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- An occasional shift in hours may be necessary to accommodate project schedules
Desired Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent formal project management training
