Job Summary
Project Manager- Planning & Development responsible for overseeing pre-construction through close-out of assigned projects in the planning and development phase, coordinating with design teams to align with the approved project scope, tracking budgets and reporting status to upper management, and coordinating with public and utility/government agencies to meet federal and state requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring budgets, resolving complex planning and construction-related issues, reviewing progress to stay within approved definitions, assisting with contracts and bid planning, implementing policy guidelines, evaluating new developments, and estimating costs with technical personnel. Requires a bachelor’s degree (architecture, engineering, or construction management) or CCM substitution, and a minimum of 10 years of experience managing large projects; onsite Los Angeles, CA with no relocation support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent)
- Possession of a valid Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential may be substituted for the required education
- Minimum 10 years of full-time paid professional experience managing public/educational or commercial projects with full responsibility for coordinating complex activities across project lifecycle
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently; preference for experience in educational modernization projects
- Ability to coordinate with design teams, public agencies, and utility/government representatives; ensure budgets and project progress are accurately reported
- Must provide proof of residency in Southern California to be considered
