Job Summary
Manage commercial projects by creating punch lists, preparing RFIs and submittals, and coordinating job schedules with field supervisors. Execute quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates and order materials, while performing labor control and managing subcontractor buyouts, contracts, and change orders. Ensure safety compliance, oversee quality control measures, and complete monthly financial analysis worksheets for job cost control. Coordinate warranties, O&M documentation, and vendor selection to maximize productivity and profitability. Requires 5-7 years of construction management experience, OSHA certification, and ability to navigate project risks.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5-7 years of Construction Management work experience
- OSHA Certification
- Experience with estimating/project management/managing specialty scopes of construction
- Ability to diagnose and process key information, recognize critical areas on the job that could impact profitability, and then actively navigate the project away from risks and liabilities for a successful outcome
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, think critically, and problem-solve
- Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
- Required travel or relocation to support specific project needs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with commercial interior construction
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or Construction Management
