Job Summary
Manage commercial construction projects by actively participating in safety plans, creating punch lists, and coordinating activities to maximize productivity. Prepare RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings while navigating quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates and order materials. Create job schedules, coordinate with field supervisors, and perform labor control to adjust setups and maximize profits. Assist in vendor selection, subcontractor buyouts, and contract issuance, then sequence subcontractor work including billings and change orders. Complete monthly financial analysis worksheets to ensure accountability for job cost control measures. Support the branch through positive customer relations and active participation in the Customer Alignment Plan.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5-7 years of Construction Management work experience
- OSHA Certification
- Experience with estimating/project management/managing specialty scopes of construction
- Ability to diagnose and process key information, recognize critical areas on the job that could impact profitability, and then actively navigate the project away from risks and liabilities for a successful outcome
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in team environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, critical think, and problem-solve
- Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with commercial interior construction
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or Construction Management
