Job Summary
Lead and coordinate the Workday Financial Management and Procurement project, overseeing implementations, enhancements, integrations, and optimization initiatives for the Department of Human Services. Provide full lifecycle leadership across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, and Financial Reporting modules. Partner with Finance, Procurement, and IT stakeholders to align system design with accounting policies and compliance requirements. Track configuration, data conversion, testing cycles, and cutover planning while conducting status meetings to assess scope changes. Monitor milestones and risks to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant solutions are delivered on schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field or specialized training
- Three years of IT project management experience
- PMP certification from PMI or equivalent certification
- Five years' experience leading projects of moderate to high complexity
- Three years' hands on experience leading server-based application development/enhancement projects
- Hands-on experience with MS Project
- Hands-on experience with MS Visio
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint 2013
- Hands-on experience with MS O365
- Strong understanding of accounting and procurement principles
- Strong understanding of financial reporting structures
- Strong understanding of ERP integrations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within the last 3 years leading/coordinating vendor managed projects
- Executive level written and oral communication skills
- Experience working in state government
- Experience in Hands-on familiarity with Workday Financial Management
- Experience in Hands-on familiarity with Workday Procurement Management
- Experience working in an outsourced environment
