Job Summary
Lead complex data center construction projects from planning through closeout, managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractors to ensure safe, high-quality, and on-time delivery. Promote a safe work environment by enforcing Overwatch safety protocols and industry standards while overseeing daily site operations. Coordinate with owners, landlords, superintents, and vendors to drive subcontractor prequalification, bid solicitation, and award recommendations. Develop and maintain the Master Project Schedule, review contracts and change orders, and secure required permits. Prepare final project accounting, manage punch lists, and oversee commissioning and turnover activities. Resolve conflicts, negotiate issues, and present progress reports to leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of construction management or general contracting experience
- Deep knowledge of commercial construction practices, sequencing, and scheduling
- Strong history of managing low voltage construction including data, fiber, security, and controls systems
- Working knowledge of these systems and ability to coordinate with design, owner, landlord, trade, and other stakeholder teams
- Strong cost control and forecasting skills
- Excellent organization, planning, and leadership abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
- Ability to understand financial details, tie them to project outcomes, and communicate effectively
- Comfortable leading diverse cross-functional teams and reporting to senior leadership
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of mission-critical/data center project management strongly preferred overseeing design, implementation, and construction of Security systems
- 5+ years of mission-critical/data center project management strongly preferred overseeing design, implementation, and construction of low voltage communications systems
