Job Summary
Manage complex DoD contract execution to ensure cost, schedule, and performance objectives are achieved for U.S. Army synthetic training programs. Serve as the primary liaison with Army customers and prime contractors, resolving contractual challenges while implementing agile processes for the software development lifecycle. Oversee contract budgets and reporting across FFP, T&M, and Cost-type structures, ensuring compliance with federal acquisition regulations, export controls, and internal quality standards. Provide leadership to cross-functional teams, mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, and communicate program status to executive leadership. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years in Defense/Aerospace project management, and a U.S. Security Clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in project management within the Defense/Aerospace industry
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
- Experience managing various contract types (Firm Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Cost-Plus)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with diverse stakeholders
- Experience with System and Software engineering lifecycles
- Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Project) and agile management tools (e.g., Jira)
Desired Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Familiarity with U.S. Army acquisition approaches and the STE framework
- Experience with ITAR/Export regulations
- Experience with software product development and simulation technologies
