Job Summary
Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of the Occupational Health Branch's records retention program for both physical and electronic records. Ensure compliance with State, departmental, and Public Records Act requirements while maintaining databases and filing systems for tracking and archiving. Draft and update branch-wide policies, procedures, and the Administrative Manual, providing training to staff on records management best practices. Support onsite operational duties including managing mail and packages, and coordinate routine administrative tasks to facilitate smooth branch operations. This full-time, benefited position requires a physical presence in the Richmond, CA office at least four times per week, with the remainder of work done remotely.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to interpret and organize complex information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and records management systems
- Ability to conduct onsite operational duties, including managing mail, packages, and occasional physical tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Four years of work experience performing analytical, technical, clerical, and/or customer service duties
- Academic education from an accredited college/university (substitutable for experience year-for-year)
- Must report physically to campus in Richmond, CA at least four times per week
- Must have functional Wi-Fi and internet access at remote location
- Must be able to stand frequently (2-5 hrs/day)
- Must be able to walk frequently (2-5 hrs/day)
- Must be able to sit frequently (2-5 hrs/day)
- Must be able to handle/finger occasionally (0-2 hrs/day)
- Must be able to reach outward occasionally (0-2 hrs/day)
- Must be able to reach above shoulder occasionally (0-2 hrs/day)
- Must be able to climb, crawl, kneel, bend occasionally (0-2 hrs/day)
