Job Summary
Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to ensure goals are met within time frames and funding parameters. Maintain up-to-date project progress information, cost data, and daily cost reports. Create monthly schedules, review timetables with superintendents, and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. Process change orders, technical problems, and Additional Work Authorizations while managing purchasing requisitions and invoice coding. Visit project sites weekly for troubleshooting and quality assurance, oversee safety, and chair project meetings. Provide accurate percent complete status to accounting and conduct monthly job cost vs. budget analyses. Report to top management on gross margin improvement strategies. Regularly exceed 40 hours/week. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or relevant field with five years of heavy civil construction experience required; ten years preferred. Driver's license and clean driving record mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or relevant field from an accredited four-year college or university
- Five years of experience in Heavy Civil Constriction relevant to this region
- Driver's license and clean driving record
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Proficient computer skills including internet and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and specialized project software
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Regularly exceeds 40 hours/week
Desired Qualifications
- Ten years of experience in Heavy Civil Constriction relevant to this region
- Certified PE
- OSHA and/or other applicable safety certifications and training
