Job Summary
Champion safety leadership by enforcing company, client, and regulatory requirements while ensuring project teams adhere to all health, safety, and environmental protocols. Plan, organize, and direct all project phases from proposal to closeout, establishing production targets and coordinating with field teams to achieve safety, quality, schedule, and productivity goals. Manage project financials, including estimating, forecasting, cost tracking, billing, and change orders, while overseeing contract administration, claims, variations, and compliance. Mentor and develop superintendents and supervisory staff through performance reviews and career guidance, fostering clear communication and accountability across operations, engineering, and client teams. Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective relationship management and represent NACG in meetings to provide performance updates to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of leadership in construction or project management, with experience in civil projects
- Proven expertise in estimating, financial management, contract negotiation, and change management
- Familiarity with collective agreements, construction drawings, specifications, scheduling, and planning
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Experience in Canada, USA, or Australia
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean Driver's Abstract
- Successful completion of drug/alcohol testing and medical fitness assessment
- Willing to relocate to Edmonton or Fort McMurray
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Valid CSO
- Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
- Pass Breath Alcohol Test

- Pass Fitness-to-Work Health Assessment
- Pass Audiometric Testing
