Job Summary
Manage storm recovery design and construction projects from inception through completion, overseeing repairs, replacements, and hardening of park facilities including archaeological and cultural properties. Review damage assessments to confirm repair approaches, develop plans and specifications, and prepare estimates for day labor or contracted execution. Coordinate project meetings, track costs, manage PMIS updates, and communicate with regional staff and contractors to ensure package submission. Initiate, guide, and control multiple projects up to $5 million while conducting site visits requiring PPE and occasional overnight or multi-day travel.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 20 year(s) of experience in Project Management in Design and Construction environment
- BA/BS Degree in Engineering (including but not limited to Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Architectural, Civil, Environmental), Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Construction Management
- Enrollee shall have and maintain a professional license appropriate for their discipline (engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, etc)
- Experience in managing A/E projects from design through construction
- Experience required with Windows
- Experience required with MS Word
- Experience required with MS Excel
- Experience required with MS PowerPoint
- Experience required with MS Teams
- Experience required with MS Outlook
- Overnight travel: 5 to 12 trips over the 52 week time frame
- Air travel anticipated: 5 to 12 three to five-day trips
- Review of appropriate Job Hazard Analyses for defensive driving, field work, working on construction sites, etc
- PPE such as hardhats and construction yellow vests
- Work boots
- Protective clothing
