Job Summary
Quote jobs and manage projects through the order point for Gear and Lighting departments, acting as a technical resource for electrical products. Sell to customers over the telephone and digitally by discussing specific requirements, pricing, and timeframes, while communicating technical information from manufacturers including long lead times or ship delays. Proactively expedite jobs daily using the MYSE system and Job Management, arrange vendor sourcing for non-stock materials, and solve customer problems involving project issues, lost shipments, damaged items, returns, and billing. Update customers and internal salespeople on status, maintain literature for review, and alert customers to sales and promotions. Work closely with all internal departments to better serve the customer, adhering to United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in electrical distribution, project management, inside sales, quotations, or a related customer-facing role
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers, vendors, and internal teams
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn ERP, CRM, and manufacturer project management systems
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of electrical distribution products, including switchgear, lighting, and power distribution equipment preferred
