Project Manager (Networks/Telecommunications)

Job Summary
Build and manage relationships with external suppliers and vendors while facilitating the implementation process of all transmission links. Manage communication between internal stakeholders and external suppliers, ensuring internal and external deadlines are met for cross functional implementations. Act as the main point of contact for Technology and Operations on new transmission or increased capacity requirements, consolidating functional reporting and tracking on projects. Manage and track FTTH, FTTB, and Fixed wireless build projects from initiation to completion, maintaining the Master circuit and hosting system. Continuously review capacity, supplier performance, and pricing across transmission routes, recommending self-build options where supply is limited. Track project statuses, dependencies, and risks while optimizing resource and time allocation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- Project Management Diploma
- 5+ years' experience in project management, with a focus on network infrastructure and implementation
- Demonstrated experience with FTTH and FTTB (business fibre) build projects
- solid technical understanding
- Demonstrated experience with Fixed wireless builds
- Working knowledge of network monitoring and project management software
- Working knowledge of managing project budget, quality and completion on time
- Experience managing complex projects from initiation to completion, including planning, scheduling, risk and budget management
- Experience working with cross functional teams and managing vendor relationships
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure technologies, including LAN, WAN, VPN and cloud based networking
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non technical stakeholders
