Project Manager/NEPA Environmental Planner-Energy

Lead energy-project NEPA environmental planning efforts, serving as the primary author for NEPA-related planning and environmental documents and coordinating tasks across technical disciplines. Manage NEPA processes (CatEx, EA, EIS) from initiation through completion, including public engagement, alternatives and comment analysis, and administrative record preparation. Mentor staff on NEPA approaches, provide peer reviews, and coach teams on clear, compliant writing. Drive client engagement, scope and budget development, and proposals/interviews to expand ESA’s energy practice. Develop and maintain relationships with utilities and renewable-energy developers, engineering partners, and teaming partners to originate opportunities and grow ESA’s energy business. The role requires 10+ years of experience and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental planning, policy, science, or related fields, with strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
