Job Summary
Confirm scope, contract, budget, programme, and tender assumptions before mobilisation, then build the Project Execution Plan and maintain live risk and decision registers. Coordinate consultants, design reviews, and statutory approvals while assessing changes for cost and programme impact. Lead delivery from mobilisation through construction, off-site manufacture, installation, commissioning, and close-out, chairing meetings and holding contractors to commitments. Manage delivery within budget by reviewing procurement, progress claims, variations, and EOTs before approval. Keep WHS, environmental, quality, NCC, and statutory compliance on track with clear owners and dates. Own the client and stakeholder relationship, delivering concise reporting and decision papers to the General Manager, PCG, and client meetings through to final accounts. Brisbane-based with interstate and regional travel.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Building or related discipline
- 7+ years in construction
- at least 3 years as the Project Manager responsible
- Track record across design, approvals, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover
- tender packages, subcontracts and consultant agreements as second nature
- Strong command of scope, programme, budget, risk, governance and reporting to PCGs, executives or boards
- Working knowledge of Australian construction contracts
- WHS obligations
