Job Summary
Lead engineering project teams through design and construction phases for drinking water treatment facilities, pump stations, and storage tanks, ensuring safety, quality, compliance, and timely delivery. Serve as the primary client contact to build trusted relationships while managing project schedules, budgets, scope, and resources. Provide guidance to engineers on professional development and apply advanced water treatment technologies to resolve complex quality challenges. Oversee procurement, permitting, contracts, and change orders while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to meet internal QA/QC standards. Identify business development opportunities, lead proposals, and support client retention. Participate in regional professional organizations to share industry insights with leadership. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management with 7+ years of experience, including 3 years managing engineering projects. Must be able to work overtime and adapt to changing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited program
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant engineering experience
- At least 3 years managing engineering projects
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to adapt to changing project requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Masters degree may substitute for one year of experience
- Previous consulting experience
- Professional registration
- Demonstrated success in project management, client relationship building, and team leadership
- Prior experience in construction project sites or program management in municipal water, energy, government, commercial, or industrial sectors
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to present complex technical information effectively to diverse audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Experience with scheduling, cost control, and document control tools
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams
- Handle multiple projects and deadlines
