Project Manager-Multifamily Construction

Job Summary

Manage project buyout and contract negotiations while controlling expenses, reviewing submittal data, and ensuring costs align with approved budgets. Monitor the construction schedule, track progress through site reports, and perform onsite inspections to verify adherence to plans and specifications. Lead the project to timely completion, obtain a certificate of occupancy, and function as a proactive liaison between onsite teams, third-party vendors, and corporate departments. Hire and manage your internal team of Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents. This role supports the Regional Lead of Construction on the Marina Shores multifamily development in Long Beach, involving complex geotechnical and environmental challenges.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • 8-10+ years' experience in Construction or related field
  • 5-7+ years' experience in Multi-Family Construction Project Management
  • 5-7+ years' experience managing others
  • Experience in wrap & podium construction
  • Demonstrate technical expertise and experience that make you well-suited to manage these specific risks (geotechnical, environmental, utility and deepened foundation perspective)
  • Extensive computer knowledge (Windows)
  • Working knowledge of construction and project management, Microsoft Project
  • OSHA 30-hour Certification; issued in the past three years
  • Current First Aid & CPR training certificate
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen after a conditional offer of employment is made
