Job Summary
Manage transportation projects on local, collector, or arterial roads for municipal clients throughout Ontario, overseeing schedules, budgets, cost control, and quality procedures. Lead planning, design, and tendering for urban and rural road construction and reconstruction, including environmental assessments, intersections, and active transportation facilities. Supervise technical staff, prepare project specifications, and liaise with government authorities to guide projects through permit approval processes. Maintain business relationships and coordinate business development activities to identify new client opportunities. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, P.Eng. license, and 10+ years of design engineering experience. Hybrid work model based in Burlington or Mississauga, ON.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license from Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
- Minimum of 10 years of design engineering experience in transportation projects
- Strong experience in transportation design, including roads, intersections, roundabouts, traffic signals, and active transportation facilities
- Proficiency in using design software packages such as Microstation, AutoCAD, Civil3D, InRoads, or OpenRoads
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with team members, clients, and agencies
- Integrity, team spirit, and a commitment to excellence
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Certification as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) or Road Safety Professional (RSP) is an asset
