Project Manager- Mining

Job Summary
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal staff to deliver innovative mining solutions within set schedules and budgets. Manage project delivery from client engagement through budget development, scheduling, and reporting while coordinating sub-contractors for safe, cost-effective completion. Provide leadership to project staff, support senior leadership with business development, and strengthen client relationships. Demonstrate commitment to safety leadership and high personal safety standards. Travel day and overnight, including remote Alaskan wilderness destinations via small engine aircraft and ATVs. Requires valid driver's license and clean driving record for operating company or personal vehicles during business travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
- 5+ years of progressively responsible work experience
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
- Must have ability to travel utilizing a variety of transportation modes including small engine aircraft, ATVs, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineering license or Project Management Professional certification is preferred
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with groups both internally and externally
- Strong skills in mining methods, engineering, and planning
- Competence in project planning, scheduling, and execution
- Solid financial, commercial, and contractual acumen
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and experience managing medium to large teams
- Understanding of risk management and incident investigation principles
