Job Summary
The Project Manager oversees capital infrastructure project delivery within MTA Construction & Development’s Delivery/Infrastructure unit. Responsible for managing project delivery to meet safety, schedule, budget, and contractual requirements; monitors status, mitigates risks, and resolves issues; coordinates with C&D staff, operating agency personnel, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders; mentors staff and ensures quality plans, project scopes, and documentation are maintained; manages bid/proposal evaluation, change orders, and contractor evaluations; prepares reports and responses for audits and oversight; fosters a professional environment conducive to employee development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
- Competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; focus and ability to deliver results; organizational effectiveness; continuous improvement; team building; problem-solving; prioritization; proficient computer skills (Windows, Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle).
- PMP and CCM Certifications are preferred.
