Job Summary
Project Manager for mechanical & plumbing systems overseeing day-to-day operations on commercial HVAC/mechanical construction projects. Responsibilities include coordinating turnover between estimating and operations, leading kickoff meetings with field and shop management, coordinating with drafting, project engineers, fabrication shop, and subcontractors, drafting and tracking Change Proposals, managing submittals and control logs, handling monthly billings and pay applications, ensuring on-time material releases, coordinating with BIM for drafting schedules, monitoring safety and QA/QC, leading regular project-manager and site walks, and mentoring Project Engineers. Requires MS/BS in relevant engineering/construction fields and a background in construction with HVAC experience; duties span RFI management, project cost review, vendor and subcontractor management, OCIP/CCIP/ROCIP forms, close-out documents, and ensuring coordination with vice presidents and operations/safety leadership.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture is preferred
- MUST have commercial HVAC mechanical experience
- MUST have construction background
- Preferred have 3+ years of experience in Project Management
