Job Summary
Project Manager - Mechanical: Responsible for determining mechanical construction needs and serving as the primary contact for general contractors and customers. Manages scope of work and project specifications, coordinates schedules, issues purchase orders for subcontractors, negotiates with vendors to optimize costs, and maintains closeout documentation and warranty coverage. Oversees field supervision, prepares monthly status reports and budget updates, and collaborates with engineering on equipment specifications. Travel up to 20% is required. Requires 5 years of PM experience in mechanical construction (piping, sheet metal, HVAC), a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, strong reading comprehension of blueprints and safety materials, and a valid driver’s license and ability to pass background/drug checks. Must be proficient in communication, reporting, and quality documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 5 Years of Experience as a Project Manager in Mechanical Construction (mechanical piping, sheet metal, HVAC)
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college, military training or technical school preferred
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications
- Ability to communicate with internal and external customers
- Ability to write reports
