Job Summary
Oversee and manage the entire site management team, including construction managers, engineers, and safety specialists, while representing Phoenix Industrial in all client interactions. Champion the corporate safety plan by developing site-specific protocols, leading toolbox meetings, and training staff on Job Safety Analyses. Direct engineering providers and subcontractors to review work plans, material takeoffs, and submittals, while approving major purchase orders and change orders. Coordinate daily operations by scheduling material deliveries, managing procurement status, and driving the planning process through master schedules and manpower curves. Administer job costs, work in progress updates, and cash flow forecasts to ensure positive margins and accurate cost forecasting. Supervise 10 or more direct reports, mentor staff, and handle extensive travel to project locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and construction management
- Ten (10) years of field experience
- Experience in MSHA-regulated mining and aggregate operations
- Maintained compliance with MSHA safety standards and participated in accident prevention programs
- Conducted workplace examinations, safety meetings, and contractor oversight
- Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
- Must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements
- Must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights
