Job Summary
Manage erection services and coordinate internal resources to deliver projects on time and in budget. Maintain construction schedules, track project phases, and provide regular updates to departments. Manage on-site contractor relationships, review change orders for cost estimates, and partner with sales managers to negotiate implications with customers. Oversee labor and installation contractors to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with OSHA requirements and engineered drawings. Develop project cost controls, change management, and accounting records. Requires a General Contractors License, 5+ years in multi-story steel construction, and up to 70% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Manaagment, Project Management or other related field
- Minimum 5 years experience as a multi-story steel, light gauge metal, and red iron building construction
- Holds and maintains a General Contractors License in one or more states
- Valid driver's license required
- Travel required; up to 70%
Desired Qualifications
- NASCLA, multi-State, General Contractors License exam, or has evidence that a License is being pursued and can be achieved is highly preferred
- Demonstrated problem solving skills including conflict resolution
- Ability to respond professionally to common inquiries or complaints from employees or contractors
- Strong understanding and ability to enforce any and all safety requirements consistently
