Job Summary
Project Manager, Manufacturing overseeing internal production projects from initiation to completion. Responsible for planning, scheduling, material allocation, and cross-functional coordination with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production. Defines scope, milestones, and timelines; tracks progress, mitigates risks, and maintains project documentation. Manages material requirements, purchase orders, and invoice reconciliation; collaborates with Purchasing and Finance to resolve discrepancies. Applies demand and capacity planning with Production Scheduling and Master Planning to ensure achievable milestones. Serves as primary internal point of contact between business units and intra-company customers; facilitates meetings and ensures clear status communication. Handles job shop and inter-company builds; drives continuous improvement in project planning and execution with ERP/MRP systems and MS Project. Preferred qualifications include PMP, APICS CPIM/CSCP, Lean/Six Sigma, and experience in multi-site manufacturing environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Five or more years of project management, production planning, or manufacturing operations experience
- Experience managing schedules, materials, and capacity across concurrent projects
- Strong working knowledge of project scheduling, materials management, and resource and capacity planning
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and project scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project)
- Excellent cross-functional communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to manage competing priorities
