Job Summary
Project Manager for Utility/Construction projects in Roanoke, VA. Leads and supports management of base, intermediate, and complex projects within a matrix team, providing leadership, planning, execution, monitoring, and control to achieve goals and maximize customer satisfaction. Builds project transparency and relationships with internal/external stakeholders (customers, team members, suppliers, contractors, vendors, and industry peers), promotes continuous improvement, and ensures timely, cost-effective delivery. Responsibilities include developing and coordinating project plans, schedules, budgets, staff, procurement plans, and contracts; leading planning meetings and status updates; and guiding in design, systems, procedures, schedules, and costs while fostering teamwork and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, project management, or related field of study
- 3 years qualified experience in outage management activities, business administration, major construction field experience, project estimating, controls, and engineering, and/or comparable experience in a competitive production environment
- PM experience in utility and major construction
- PMP certification is preferred
- Knowledge of P6 and PMBOK
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Multi-level collaboration
