Project Manager

Provide overall technical management for construction projects. Responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective completion of construction projects by overseeing all phases. Leads, motivates, and supports the project team in safety, quality control, and schedule adherence; interprets plans and specifications from Architect/Engineer and communicates them to others; coordinates with stakeholders to plan work, equipment, and materials; maintains client relationships; devises cost-effective plans to enable project completion within budget; ensures compliance with the contract and notice requirements; obtains permits and regulatory prerequisites; creates project meeting agendas and documents (subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, profit forecasts, pay applications); performs quantity take-offs and unit pricing; creates monthly progress reports; negotiates subcontracts and change orders with subcontractors/suppliers and with Owners; assists in RFQ/RFP preparation; forecasts project progression 6–12 months ahead; mentors assigned Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers; reviews submittals for contract compliance; pursues contractor licensing and certifications as requested; participates in RFP presentations; engages with local construction organizations; identifies future business opportunities for the firm; adheres to Safety Program, OSHA guidelines, and company policies; performs additional assignments as directed by management to ensure successful project completion; travel to Beaufort, Bluffton, and Hilton Head job sites.
