Job Summary
Manage full execution of construction and maintenance projects from conception through completion, acting as the primary client contact. Define scope, establish cost and schedule baselines, and develop execution strategies while identifying risks and mitigation plans. Lead kick-off meetings, coordinate with estimating for large proposals, and review take-off quantities against bid documents. Ensure foremen and crews meet productivity expectations, manage change processes, and obtain customer approval for progress billings. Submit close-out reports, confirm client satisfaction, and secure final sign-off before demobilization. Champion a zero-incident safety culture. Regular field travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous Project Management experience with a technical background in the construction and maintenance industry
- Strong organizational, communication and client relations abilities
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, civil, P&IDs, vendor drawings and specifications quickly and accurately
- Thorough understanding and ability to develop and complete cost estimates based on engineering documentation, specifications and drawings as well as construction, risk elevation and material take off techniques
- Solid understanding and ability to use MS Office software, and scheduling software
- Excellent communicator and negotiator, able to express ideas clearly and enthusiastically
- Manages changes effectively
- Regular travel to the field is a requirement
