Project Manager - Low Voltage & Fire

Job Summary
Manage assigned low-voltage projects from initial handoff through final completion and closeout. Review project scope, contracts, drawings, specifications, estimates, and requirements before work begins. Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and completion targets while coordinating field manpower needs with Operations. Provide clear direction to Lead Technicians and field personnel, monitoring productivity, workmanship, and overall progress. Conduct site visits to verify progress, quality, safety, and conditions. Maintain regular communication with general contractors, customers, vendors, and internal teams. Participate in project meetings and identify delays, scope changes, material issues, and potential risks. Review labor usage, material costs, budgets, and profitability; identify and communicate change-order opportunities. Coordinate material requirements and ensure documentation, field reports, testing records, and punch lists are completed. Drive projects through final customer acceptance and escalate significant concerns to Operations leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Previous project management experience in low voltage, security, fire alarm, structured cabling, electrical, construction, or a related trade
- Strong understanding of construction project workflows and field operations
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documentation
- Experience managing field technicians, subcontractors, project schedules, and multiple active projects
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, technicians, vendors, and leadership
- Comfortable addressing project issues and holding team members accountable
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management or construction management software
- Working knowledge of low-voltage systems such as: Video surveillance / CCTV, Access control, Intrusion detection, Fire alarm, Structured cabling, Network infrastructure
Desired Qualifications
- Previous project management experience in low voltage, security, fire alarm, structured cabling, electrical, construction, or a related trade strongly preferred
