Job Summary
Project Manager will provide design and construction management support for federal lease projects up to $25M from start to finish. Responsibilities include coordinating with customers to establish requirements, developing the Program of Requirements (POR), conducting design reviews, reviewing Design Intent Drawings (DiDs) and Construction Drawings (CDs) for scope, accuracy and constructability, supporting value engineering, participating in weekly progress meetings, preparing meeting agendas/minutes, reviewing submittals, developing government cost estimates, preparing and updating scopes of work, schedules and budgets, logging construction documents, and responding to RFIs. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, 5+ years in federal/private construction management, strong writing and verbal communication, ability to read drawings, MS Project proficiency, and an autonomous, proactive work style. Federal experience with GSA is preferred. Relocation benefits are available. The role requires physical capability to climb ladders and navigate construction sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture
- 5+ years’ experience in federal and/or private sector construction management
- Proven ability to read drawings
- Strong management and communication skills
- Team-player, proactive, self-starter attitude
- Ability to develop weekly reports and progress reports
- Federal experience preferred, particularly with GSA
- Independent and autonomous work style with limited management input
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Ability to climb ladders and navigate construction sites
