Job Summary
Project Manager for federal lease projects up to $25M, providing design and construction management from start to finish. Responsibilities include coordinating with customers to establish requirements, developing the Program of Requirements, conducting design reviews, reviewing design and construction drawings for scope and accuracy, supporting value engineering, participating in progress meetings, preparing and updating scopes of work, schedules, and budgets, reviewing submittals and change orders, producing government cost estimates and memorandums, and maintaining construction documentation logs. Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, 5+ years of federal/private construction management experience, strong communication and organizational skills, ability to read drawings, familiarity with Microsoft Project, and ability to navigate construction sites. Federal experience with GSA is preferred, and the role supports an autonomous, detail-oriented, proactive team-player capable of delivering from pre-planning through post-construction activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture
- 5+ years’ experience in federal and/or private sector construction management
- experience in pre-planning, programming, estimating, design and construction management and supervision, design review, procurement support, cost management and program budgeting, commissioning, and post construction activities
- strong knowledge of construction documents
- superior management and communication skills
- read drawings
- develop weekly reports and progress reports, both internally and to the client
- MS Project proficiency
- ability to climb ladders and navigate construction sites
- federal project experience preferred (GSA)
- independent and autonomous work style with limited management input
- attention to detail
