Job Summary
Senior Project Manager/Leader to direct a 10-month contract for a large, complex Application Development initiative. Lead Agile projects (preferably Scrum), oversee governance and architecture points, manage privacy and security deliverables, coordinate external and internal stakeholders, and drive project interdependencies. Possess strong interpersonal, technical, and business aptitude; demonstrate excellence in communication, planning, and execution while delivering under tight deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, Visio, and Planview is required; government experience is a plus. Onsite in Toronto, Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager directly responsible for leading all aspects of large, complex Application Development initiatives
- Demonstrated hands on experience leading and managing agile projects, preferably following Scrum methodology
- Advanced knowledge of project management principles, methods and techniques
- Demonstrated experience successfully managing OPS governance Cluster and Corporate governance approval processes such as project gating, architecture governance points, digital first assessment
- Experience managing privacy and security deliverables
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Agile development concepts and methodologies and experience leading technical teams
- Experience running scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives
- Demonstrated experience managing external and internal stakeholders and project interdependencies
- Self-motivated leader with strong interpersonal skills and strong technical and business aptitude
- Persistent attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills (clear & concise)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and Visio, and Planview
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver within extremely tight deadlines
- Project rescue/project triage experience is an asset
- Previous government experience is an asset
