PROJECT MANAGER-LARGE SCALE TECHNICAL STATION

Job Summary
Oversees development and construction of large-scale transmission and distribution substations, including interconnection of new generation. Leads multi-disciplinary teams through project development, approvals, and execution phases; manages cost estimating, stakeholder coordination, permits, land acquisition, procurement, and contract management. Ensures safety, governance, and compliance, and uses project management tools (MS Project, Excel, etc.) to schedule and track progress. Maintains relationships with external parties (regulators, developers, municipalities) and coordinates with internal resources. Requires field visits, travel, and strong communication and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience in project management, transmission/distribution line or substation operations and construction
- Strong business acumen, project management, leadership and general management skills
- Proficiency with project management/scheduling software including Capital Management System, Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, SmartSheet
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; comfortable with public speaking
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, schedules, budgets and deadlines
- Experience in managing contractors and contract documents is preferred
- Supervisory experience and project management experience preferred
- Current Maine Driver's License
- Office and field work with regular field visits to remote outdoor job sites; occasional overnight travel
