Job Summary
Lead and manage all aspects of civil engineering projects from concept through construction administration, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and internal teams. Develop and maintain strong client relationships by managing expectations, identifying repeat business opportunities, and driving alignment on project goals, timelines, and budgets. Oversee project teams, including mentoring junior staff, while directly supporting design efforts for site plans, utility plans, stormwater management, and infrastructure layouts. Direct permitting efforts with local agencies to ensure timely approvals and compliance, and actively contribute to business development by drafting proposals and participating in client presentations. Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to keep projects on time and within scope. Ensure quality control across all deliverables and coordinate seamlessly with subconsultants, contractors, and vendors. Requires a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, EI certification, and 5+ years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field
- EI
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in civil site design or related field
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other relevant design and project management software
- Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles and construction processes
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources
- Experience with risk management and problem-solving
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead teams, mentor junior staff, and foster a collaborative work environment
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships with a focus on delivering high-quality service
- Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 5 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally
