Job Summary
Plan and schedule engineering, installation, and subcontracting activities for large, complex detention projects while maintaining current job plans and specifications. Coordinate material procurement, manage the project installation plan, and select subcontractors based on performance. Monitor daily job status, control labor and material costs, and review financial reports to ensure project profitability. Supervise installers and apprentices, conduct site walks to verify quality installation, and oversee job closure procedures including paperwork, billing, and warranty letters. Assist in estimating and site surveys to secure accurate project bids.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in the engineering and installation of low voltage systems, audio systems (analog/digital), IP video systems, programmable logic control systems, computer networking or related field
- Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, relay logic, and operations
- Good subcontracting skills
- Excellent written & oral communication skills
- An understanding of job financial reports and the ability control costs in the handling of large projects
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree (2 year) or Bachelor degree (4 year) in a technical capacity
- Project Management experience
- IT Project + or PMP certification
- Experience with IT related equipment (servers, databases, networking, etc)
