Job Summary
Provide high-level project management overview and direction for large-scale utility projects, including initiation, planning, execution, and closing. Manage comprehensive work plans, cost baselines, and risk controls across overhead, substation, and underground segments. Oversee engineering teams, field operations, and third-party projects while ensuring quality, environmental compliance, and regulatory adherence. Lead change management, commissioning, and stakeholder communications. Requires 10+ years of experience, PMP certification, and proficiency in financial analysis tools. Must travel to Syracuse office twice monthly and site locations regularly.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant project management experience in large-scale utility projects
- Strong experience with EPC Projects, Contract Models and Management
- Strong Safety-First Focus
- Familiar with Article VII Permitting
- Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools
- Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with competing priorities and stressful situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Must be able to travel to office for meetings in Syracuse 2x a month
- Hands on Project Manager- travels to sites
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Engineering Management, or Construction Management discipline preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
