Job Summary
Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of retail construction and renovation projects from concept through closeout for new store rollouts, remodels, and flagship developments. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, architects, and internal stakeholders while managing project scopes, schedules, and budgets typically ranging from $100K to $5M+. Liaise between landlords, design teams, general contractors, and municipal authorities to resolve issues, proactively identify risks such as permitting delays, and implement contingency plans. Ensure all work adheres to brand standards, local building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability guidelines while delivering regular progress updates and financial reports. Leverage JLL's proprietary technology platforms to streamline workflows and enhance data-driven decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of project management experience in retail construction, including new builds, remodels, and national rollouts
- Proven track record managing multi-site projects with budgets exceeding $500K
- Expertise in construction documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders), scheduling (MS Project/Primavera), and contract administration (AIA/lump-sum contracts)
- Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA compliance, and retail-specific regulations
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel locally (up to 30%)
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Experience with BIM, Procore, or Autodesk
- PMP, CCM, or LEED AP certification
- Experience with fast-paced retail environments (e.g., quick-service restaurants, fashion chains, grocery)
- Familiarity with JLL's PDS methodologies or similar global PMO frameworks
